Head of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community delivers Friday Sermon from Frankfurt?

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said that the unity of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is dependent upon the institution of Khilafat.

On 29 May 2015, the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa, His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad delivered this week’s Friday Sermon at the Kalbach Sports and Recreation Centre in Frankfurt. More than 8,700 Ahmadi Muslims were in attendance, whilst the proceedings were also broadcast live across the world on MTA International.

During his address, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad spoke in detail about Khilafat (Caliphate). His Holiness said that since its inception 107 years ago the institution of Khilafat leading the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community had been constantly engaged in spreading the true and peaceful teachings of Islam to every part of the world.

The Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community said that during the course of history various Muslim political rulers had sought to assume the title of a ‘Khalifa’ for material gains, however true Khilafat was a purely religious and spiritual institution.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said that according to the prophecy of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), true Khilafat was to be re-established in the latter days and that Ahmadi Muslims were extremely fortunate to have accepted this second manifestation of Khilafat whose purpose was to further the mission of the Promised Messiah and Imam Mahdi.

Speaking about the institution of Khilafat that has led the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community for the past 107 years, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“Today the task of spreading the true message of Islam is being undertaken only through the system of Khilafat established in the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. At a time when the name of Islam is constantly being defamed and distorted, it is the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community alone that is portraying the true and peaceful teachings of Islam to all parts of the world.”

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad cited examples from various parts of the world of how Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya was leading people towards God Almighty and towards true Islam.

Referring to his current tour of Germany, His Holiness said he had inaugurated Mosques in both Aachen and Hanau and that both events had been attended by large numbers of non-Muslim dignitaries, politicians and guests from various fields. His Holiness said the guests had attested to the fact that they had learned about the true teachings of Islam through Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“One guest said that they were previously well acquainted with a number of Ahmadi Muslims and so they thought they knew a great deal about Islam. However, the impact of the words of the Khalifa (Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad) upon her heart was truly unique and a completely new feeling. She said that it was only after hearing his words that she now understood the reality of Islam and its beautiful teachings.”

Speaking, about his own status as the Fifth Khalifa of the Promised Messiah and the support of Allah the Almighty, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“I am a humble human being and I am fully aware of my own state. I do not possess any special quality or excellence. However, Allah the Almighty has promised to support and help Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya and most certainly God Almighty is truthful in his promises. He has always supported Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya and, God Willing, He always will.”

Explaining the link between faith and Khilafat, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“Religious prosperity is directly linked to the institution of Khilafat and so religious success cannot now be achieved without Khilafat. Most certainly, the unity of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community can never remain without Khilafat. With the Grace of Allah, every Ahmadi Muslim who is attached to Khilafat understands that the continuation of Khilafat is an essential part of our faith.”
